Accessibility

We are committed to making Highclere Castle accessible and welcoming to all visitors.

Highclere Castle is a Victorian building with historic interiors, and we recognise that this presents some challenges for accessibility. We are continuously working to improve access for all visitors and welcome feedback on how we can do better. If you have specific requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us before your visit so we can ensure the best possible experience.

Accessibility Features

Parking

Designated accessible parking spaces are available close to the castle entrance. Please contact us in advance if you require assistance.

Wheelchair Access

The ground floor of the castle, including the main State Rooms and Egyptian Exhibition, is accessible by wheelchair. A limited number of wheelchairs are available to borrow on the day.

The main garden paths are suitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Some areas of the parkland have uneven terrain; our team can advise on the most accessible routes.

Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the castle and grounds. Water bowls are available at the entrance.
